Waterstones Signing Dates

Here are the dates so far on the 2011 Darkness Falling signing tour. I'm going to watch out to see if anyone attends more than one gig . . . kind of like Deadheads back in the day. (Following the Grateful Dead was a little difficult for a teenager in Yorkshire but I did follow a band called The Alan Bown—fronted by the excellent Jess Roden—all over the place. Anyway, I digress.)

Today's the day in the US when DARKNESS FALLING goes on sale. Let me know what you think. Meanwhile, I just heard that, here in the UK, it's already gone to reprint pre-publication—all I can say is thank goodness for large families!)

Book signing at Waterstones

Following FantasyCon and the launch of Darkness Falling, I am looking forward to the book signings at Waterstones up and down the country. There are half a dozen or so already organised and more coming online but the first will be in Hull on Saturday 15th October at 1pm.

Darkness Falling - FantasyCon

On Saturday 1st October at FantasyCon in Brighton, England, Angry Robot will be launching my new apocalyptic novel, Darkness Falling. Angry Robot have decided to create a limited edition hardback of this novel – only 100 are being printed for sale, and at just £20 it’s a real bargain, too!

I will be at the FantasyCon launch to sign your copy, as will cover artist Vincent Chong.

Mark Morris

I first met Mark Morris at a FantasyCon in Birmingham: I guess it was the mid to late 1980s and his debut novel, Toady (aka The Horror Club in the USA) was either just out or imminent. I was in the early throes of putting together a contributor list for my debut anthology (Narrow Houses, as it turned out) and I liked the ‘cut of his jib’ as they say, so I asked him on board.
